★★★★★4 months agoI have been working with Jan since she graduated from design school. Words cannot describe how that relationship has grown. My husband and I gutted our home off Rosa Road. I knew what I wanted through so many pictures from books and magazines. I sought an elegant country French look and wanted Jan to coordinate everything from kitchen granite countertops, backsplashes and using iron accents for vent-a- hood braces, light fixtures etc. I didn’t want to make mistakes. Jan was so knowledgeable and helpful with paint, fabrics. And I was involved in everything. Now I have downsized into a condo.
★★★★★Edited 4 years agoJan is an extremely talented interior designer who helped us furnish our new home. Her eye for design is impressive and she combines that with a bright sunny disposition that makes her so easy to work with. Jan also helped us after we had a plumbing problem damage our hardwood floors by choosing replacement flooring and lining up the installers. She also masterminded the installation of new cabinetry in our utility room to serve as an awesome pantry. If you are looking for someone of immense talent who is awesome to work with, I can't recommend Jan enough!
★★★★★a year agoWe have been working with Jan for over 10 years and during this time she has helped us re-do most of the house. We love her care and advice. She helped us pick out the wall colors to go with our oriental carpets, and she has helped us pick out the new sofas and re-cover the existing chairs. Everything turned out beautifully and everything flows together, but not matchy, matchy. Most of all, Jan is mindful of our budget throughout the project. Our latest project was our large family room. The transformation is just amazing. We recommend Jan's services for all of your needs.

★★★★★a year agoJan is a super star when it comes to unique ideas for listing houses that need some vision. We have consulted on a few listings I was selling and she made some renditions on improvements to bring in additional light. She went beyond just adding color to enhancing the space to making it functional. The results helped re purpose the area for a buyer to conceptional understand.
★★★★★Edited 2 years agoThis is the second time I’ve asked Jan to help me do a new remodel in my house. Obviously I love her style and work. She listens to my thoughts and then introduces me to ideas she thinks I may like. She is such a creative person with a keen sense of color and design. I admire her work ethic—a true professional in demeanor, dress, and efficiency. She is punctual and makes sure anyone working for her, painters, plumbers, electricians, follows her lead of high expectations, and makes certain that they are timely upon their arrival and considerate of the work area. Jan has my highest recommendation to anyone looking for an interior designer.

In Jan's words
Situations Jan handles every week
A remodel where the designer and the contractor blame each other
When the plan and the build belong to different companies, surprises behind a wall become arguments. Jan designs the space and handles the general contracting herself: scheduling trades, ordering and tracking materials, walking the site and checking work against the approved plan. When a build turns up a surprise, the person deciding how to handle it is the one who designed the room.
A kitchen or bath that needs plans, selections and someone to build it
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling are core services, with floor plans and elevations produced in-house and built-ins and cabinetry designed to fit. Clients describe Jan coordinating everything from granite and backsplashes to iron accents and light fixtures.
A whole house of furniture and color choices with no clear direction
Full-service interior design covers a single room or an entire home. Jan listens first, then guides clients toward choices that work together without matching too closely. Reviewers say she does not impose her own preferences and stays mindful of the budget throughout.
Already have a contractor, just need the design
Chateau Concepts works with clients' own contractors and keeps trusted workrooms, fabricators and installers. Remodel and renovation design, remodeling consulting and selections are available without the build.
A listing that needs vision before it sells
A real estate agent reviewer describes Jan producing renderings of improvements for listings, bringing in light and making spaces functional so buyers could understand them.
An office that should reflect the practice
Commercial and office design covers private offices, cubicles, reception areas and conference rooms for businesses.
